The sixth annual meeting of the Dartmouth Club of the Hanover Area was held in Alumni Hall of Hopkins Center on Friday, April 26 with 140 people in attendance. After a delicious meal by our genial host of the Hanover Inn, James T. McFate, the Club heard Dr. Mahlon B. Hoagland, Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry, speak on "The Dartmouth Plan: A New Approach to Education for Medicine." Dr. Hoagland spoke of the dynamic growth and changes which are now forecast for the Dartmouth Medical School.
During the business meeting, which was presided over by outgoing President JohnFairbanks '46 of Newport, the following officers were elected: Clark A. Griffiths '57 of Lebanon, president; David Bradley '58 of Hanover, vice president; and Louis V. Wilcox '23 of Etna, secretary. The members of the executive committee are Leonard Morrissey '22 of Hanover, Joseph Esersky '31 of Claremont and Newcomb Eldredge '50 of Newport.
The scholarship committee is at work planning a raffle during the reunion period and for cocktail parties in the Leverone Field House after the first two home games. BobFinney '63 of Hanover is in charge of the raffle and Dave Bradley '58 and Dick Fowler'54 head the cocktail committee. The Scholarship Committee as a whole is led by JudPierson '33 of Ely.
