Alumni Fund Exceeds $2 Million
JULY 1968

On its closing day Dartmouth's 54th annual Alumni Fund appeared to have been a complete success. Through lune 30 the totals showed just over $2 million contributed by 21,000 alumni, parents, and friends. This included an estimated $210,000 of income from Alumni Fund Endowment.

Chairman Ralph Lazarus '35 expressed confidence that additional gifts mailed by the June 30 deadline and still to be counted would lift the 1968 Fund close to and possibly above the goal of $2,101,560.89 (last year's result) set by the Fund Committee. Many classes were running ahead of last year in both dollars and contributors, and this year's showing was especially notable in that it was achieved while more than $18 million was being raised in the first stage of the Third Century Fund.
