The Rev. Paul W. Rahmeier, College Chaplain and adviser to the Dartmouth Christian Union, has accepted an interim appointment as Assistant Dean of the College. He temporarily succeeds James M. Cowperthwaite '61, who has left the Dean's Office to undertake service work either in this country or abroad.
Mr. Rahmeier, who joined the Tucker Foundation staff at Dartmouth in 1967, is a native of St. Louis and was graduated from Elmhurst College in 1954. He received the bachelor of divinity degree from Eden Theological Seminary in 1958. From 1958 to 1960 he served as assistant chaplain at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and, from 1960 to 1965, as director of religious activities at Oberlin College, where he received his master's degree. During 1964-65 he was president of the National Association of College and University Chaplains and currently is a member of the executive committee of the National Campus Ministry Association.
