The Cover
The drawing of Daniel Webster, chief College counsel in the Dartmouth College Case, has been done from the famous portrait by John Pope. For its use on this month's cover we are indebted to the Newcomen Society, which used the drawing in a booklet about Dartmouth College some years ago.
