A most enjoyable and traditionally hot summer was highlighted by a friendly Texas gathering. Enrollment chairman, FrankStephens '61, hosted Houston's four new Pea Greens: Gary Gipson, John Hughes, Monroe Johnson, Charles Ziese, and their fathers. Also present to help with an early orientation were Houston Club President Chuck Noll '53, and current underclassmen Ken Harbour '71, Bob Meyers '72, John Sharp '72, Ken Cook '73, and Dave Clark '73.

A capacity crowd reunited after the summer recess for our first luncheon of the new year. One new alumnus, John Masters'67, and one returning Big Greener, JesseJenckes '63, were welcomed by club secretary Burres Head '27, Larry Miter '28. Pete Sherwood '62, Ben Page '42, Bob Williams "42, J. P. Thomas '26 along with Houstonians George Murphy '41, Professor Louis Silverman, Dwight Edson 'lB, Bob Bucher '64, Bill Lain '42, and Fred Sistare '47.

Frank Stephens announced a goal of thirty applicants from Houston for the class of '75. The aggressive Bayou City enrollment committee is already at work. Members of the committee include Pete Marshall '65, Ed Mallett '67, Jerry Bart '60, Ken Balacek '63, Al Cook '62, Bob Garrity '61, Duncan Gray '60, and Joe Hafner '66.

Although geographically located in the center of great college football teams, the Houston club will be rooting for another fine season from Bob Blackman and the Indians.
