Graphic designer Mark Friedman has been appointed Director of Promotional Design for the Hopkins Center. In his new position Mr. Friedman will combine administrative responsibilities for the studio with his creative work, which includes designing programs, posters, brochures, and announcements for Center events.
A native of New York, Mr. Friedman received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1965 and a Master of Fine Arts degree two years later from Indiana University, where he also taught graphics. He was associated with the New York City graphics firm of Will Borton, Inc., before he came to Dartmouth in June 1968 as assistant to College Designer John R. Scotford Jr. '38, then Assistant Director of the Hopkins Center.
