ONE OF THE Bicentennial Year's top cultural events, an art show entitled "The Protean Years: 1870-1970," was held at the Knoedler Gallery, New York City, from February 9 to the 25th. Some 700 persons crowded the gallery on opening night to view sixty works of art loaned by alumni and friends of the College or selected from the College's own collection. Proceeds from the exhibition will benefit the Hopkins Center Art Galleries Acquisition Fund.
