The National Science Foundation has awarded Assistant Professor Naomi Oreskes of the Earth Sciences Department (and adjunct professor of history) a 1993 Young Investigator Award, which comprises up to $312,500 in grants and matching funds to support her work over the next five years. Professor Oreskes is currently finishing a book, TheRejection of ContinentalDrift, under a National Endowment for the Humanities grant.
