In a continuing busy fall schedule, the Dartmouth Club of Southern California invited wives to our annual Dartmouth Nieht celebration, which was held at Tory's Foods, and which featured some remarks on the coeducation vote by College Trustee David P. Smith '35. The event was well-attended, and we were pleased to meet this quarter's Tucker Foundation students, currently teaching in Compton. Alumni who are interested in meeting these students or in finding out more about what they are doing so far away from Hanover for 12 weeks should contact our Club's Tucker Liason Officer, Dr. Will Durousseau '58, at 213-567-1075.
We look forward to our Christmas luncheon for Dartmouth applicants, students home on vacation, parents, and Alumni, on Monday, December 20, at the Century Plaza Hotel in Century City, organized by Milt Olander '51, who is being assisted in the event by Chuck Thegze '70. All area Alumni are encouraged to contact and bring to this lunch any prospective applicants to Dartmouth, and we hope to have someone from the Admissions Office with us.
Looking further into the future we are already preparing for Dartmouth Day at Santa Anita on Saturday, March 18, 1972 funds from which are to be used this year in helping to purchase a mini-bus type vehicle for use by the Dartmouth students in Compton. And our annual dinner and election of new officers and directors is set for Tuesday, April 25 with guest of honor John G. Kemeny.
