At the annual awards program of the Dartmouth Club Officers Association November 12 in Hanover, William G.Mazeine '61 (r) of the Springfield, Mass., Club was named Club President of the Year. He was presented with a framed color print of Dartmouth Row and the following citation:
Under your leadership as President, the Dartmouth Club of Springfield, Mass., has enjoyed a particularly successful year. The Club and the College are proud of the increase in alumni participation at luncheons and the annual dinner. One of the best indices of your local pride and interest is the high percentage of alumni who pay dues. With solid financial support your club activities have included a book award to students of local secondary schools and a holiday meeting as part of the 100 percent effort of your enrollment activity.
The outstanding results of the Springfield Club program for this year have been due to your contribution to the club's effective organization. The community and the banking profession also have benefited through your work in allied associations.
It is in the Dartmouth tradition to salute those who serve well, and so we honor you with our Award—the Dartmouth Club President of the Year.
