The skiing continues to be excellent and with the longer days and warmer sun, it's a lot of fun!!

Walt Watson of Chatham, Mass., writes: "A year ago, I decided that the investment business (after 15 years in it) was not for me and that I was tired of city life, so we moved from Wayland, Mass., to Chatham where we now have a small house on a sand dune overlooking a lake and pleasant bay. Contrary to most people down here who are retired, I am working for Nickerson Homes selling factory built houses. My wife, Evelyn, is very busy with local college affairs. My son, Walter Jr. '62, is a Ph.D. in the Sociology Department of Brock University, St. Catharines, Ontario. He has a boy and a girl. We have two other granddaughters belonging to our older girl, Lynne, and none from the youngest, Meredith, who is not married at this writing. Have not run into many alumni but did have a chat with Norm Erlandson last weekend. I'm here (Nickerson Lumber, Orleans) six days a week in case anyone is in the area and has a few moments to stop by."

Thanks to the distaff side of the ByronMcCoy family we are happy to share this news which Louise wrote to Wes Beattie last December: "Hubby (busy) won't write so I'll send this for him. We were invited to shake the President and Mrs. Nixon's hands and receive their thanks for work on his advisory commission on the arts. The occasion was the gala opening of the Eisenhower Theatre at the Kennedy Renter for the Performing Arts in Washington. Serving on the committee has been great fun and inspiration. The "Superball" in May was also enjoyed by Charlie and Marjorie Main, Class of '38. The performing arts center is now open to students at discount prices and its influence on the arts throughout the whole 50 states should be great. Ed Hird '33 stopped by this late fall with exciting plans for a business development." Thank you Louise and I hope more of you gals will send news!!

Hank Weitz of Duke University in Durham, N.C. sent a very brief note stating that he had been a Fulbright consultant to the U. S. Educational Foundation in India during 1971-72. In addition he has published a book on Organization and Administration of Student Services in Indian Colleges and Universities.

Charlie Webster writes from Darien, Conn., that he has been with Nabisco, Inc., since graduation and he is now Group Vice President. He and Priscilla have three children: Philip '58 married (3 children) and living in Buenos Aires; Lee single and in Newport News; Barbara married (3 children) to a Cornellian, Mr. Halvorsen, and living in Miami. Of their six grandchildren, two were born in Buenos Aires and one in Acapulco. Charlie and Priscilla have enjoyed visiting their families in South America and Mexico as well as touring Europe in 1964.

Jim Woods' widow Nancy was very considerate in thanking the Class by writing: "Thank you for your thoughtfulness in letting me know of the 1933 book placed in Baker Library in memory of Jim. The work selected on Michelangelo would please Jim very much indeed, as he was much interested in art all of his life—and in fact always referred to his Dartmouth courses under Jerry Lathrop as the favorites of his college years, although he was an English major! Thanks again—and I do look forward to visiting Dartmouth from time to time in future years."

Bea and I have just returned from watching the last at home hockey game of this season. The Big Green beat Northeastern 15 to 5 (more like a football score) to make the season record to date: Won 12, Lost 10, Tied 1 with the final game at Princeton this coming Saturday. This is the first winning season since 1964-65 and next season should be even better.

Byron McCoy '33 is greeted by the President and Mrs. Nixon at the gala openingof the Eisenhower Theater at Washington's Kennedy Center. He is a member ofthe President's Advisory Commission onthe Arts.
