A new appointment, a promotion, and a reassignment have been announced for the administrative staff.

Britta McNemar, Assistant Dean of the College and resident dean in the Choate Road dorms since the fall of 1970, has been named Assistant Dean of Freshmen.

She and her husband, Professor Donald W. McNemar of the Department of History, will continue to reside in the Choate group. Mrs. McNemar has already assumed her duties in the Freshman Office.

A 1967 graduate of Connecticut College in New London, she came to Dartmouth as a research associate in education in 1969. As an administrative assistant in the department in 1970, she helped develop the master of arts in liberal studies degree program.

Mitchell Call of Woodstock, Vt., has been named assistant to College Treasurer Paul F. Young. A 1956 graduate of Colby College in Maine, he has held various administrative posts at the University of Vermont for the past six years. He is currently a candidate for a master's degree in educational administration there.

Robert R. Costello of Etna, N.H., a systems analyst at the Data Processing Center at the College, has been promoted to Assistant Director of the Center. He graduated from Northeastern University in 1955 and spent 12 years as a computing specialist in industry before coming to Dartmouth in 1967.
