Four undergraduates named to one-year terms on the Athletic Council include basketball captain James Brown from New York City; varsity football manager Tom Scholz from New Cumberland, Pa.; Alan Bernstein from Medford, Mass., student director of intramurals; and Caren Diefenderfer from Bethlehem, Pa., the first coed representative.
Among the other spring award winners are Eric Potter (Harmon Trophy for distance running); Ned Brooks from New York City (the Klinger Trophy and Conover Trophy in sailing), and Frank Mannarino (the Cooke Trophy as baseball's most valuable player).
John Lundgren from Braintree, Mass., has been re-elected captain of golf, the first repeat captain in that sport since Bill Tarlow '50 led the 1948-49-50 squads.
