State Senator Lowell Thomas Jr. '46, reporting an informal late-fall gathering at his Anchorage home, says he believes that occasion rates two "firsts" for alumni in Alaska. It was the first time that a College Trustee had ever visited that state and the first .time so many alumni got together there.

Trustee David Smith '35 was given the floor for some 15 minutes to talk about what goes on at Dartmouth today and to answer some questions about coeducation.

In the field of coeds, Alaska is already represented by Kathryn Spivey of Anchorage, a member of the Class of 1976, and, as Lowell Thomas adds happily, his daughter Anne has been admitted to next year's freshman class.

Those present to hear Trustee Smith and for the social evening were: John McKeever '39, Aaron and Pat Wolf '59, Dominic and Kay Carney '63, Tom and Kathy Wood '60, Bob and Nicki Wagsta"'63, Carl and Nancy Stormer '67, Morris and Sue Nims '59, Paul Lowe '7O, Dudley and Joan Weider '6O, and host and hostess Lowell and Tay Thomas.
