Tom McAllister has come across with the story of his six months' sojourn in Hancock, Mass., last summer. It was a mission of mercy, to assist at the home of Ethel's brother, who was spending most of that time in hospitals and nursing homes. The home in which Ethel and Tom stayed was Ethel's birthplace. Tom improved the shining moments by planting a garden for the family, and was quite successful with tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, beans, lettuce, swiss chard, carrots, and beets.
As this goes to press, Art Soule should be back safely in Florida. We hope that he makes it for he has had a tough year. He is scheduled to fly December 27, one day after the second and worst phase of the big storm up north, where we had no flights nor any other sort of public passenger transportation, at least for a day or two.
