The names of eight Senior Fellows, two of them alumni sons, have been announced for the 1973-74. academic year.

A select group, chosen on the basis of academic records and committee approval of project proposals, the Senior Fellows are relieved of formal classroom work to pursue a course of independent study, under the special supervision of a faculty member.

The Fellows, with their major fields and their projects they will carry out during the coming year, are:

Dennis S. Carroll, San Diego, Calif., special major, a five-act poetic drama;

John W. Danforth, Andover, Mass., biology, "Autonomic Regulation of Cardiovascular-renal Function in the 'Diving' Mammals";

Thomas W. Eggleston, West Lafayette, Ind., history, "An Evaluation of Educational Practices at Dartmouth Since 1924, as Assessed by Representative Members of the College Faculty";

Gary E. Gipson, Houston, Texas, history, "International Meanings and Functions of Garveyism";

John D. Piggott, Memphis, Tenn., psychology-biology, "Portraits of the Physician in French and American Literature";

Robert C. Pridham, Chatham, N.J. (son of Robert M. Pridham '49), drama, "Theater of the Supernatural";

Thurlow E. Tibbs Jr., Washington, D.C., urban studies with emphasis on architecture, "Capitol Hill:. A Visual and .Historical Approach";

Christopher W. Wiley, Laconia, N.H. (son of Robert D.Wiley '44), biology, "Factors Determining Lung Growth."
