Robert Y. Kimball '46, since 1964 Assistant Dean of the Tuck School, has been named to the newly created position of Director of Conferences.

In his new position, he will be responsible for generating and coordinating a year-round schedule of events for the optimum use of such facilities of the College as campus meeting places, the Minary Center, the athletic complex, and the Hopkins Center. Special efforts will be made to coordinate scheduling of seminars, conferences, and other meetings, academic and nonacademic, so that events may be spread evenly throughout the 12 months.

A 1948 recipient of an MBA degree from the Tuck School, Mr. Kimball returned to the College in 1963, after 15 years with an industrial firm, to become a special assistant to the President. He worked also with the Office of Development, where he helped create the Tuck Associates Program. At the Tuck School, he has been primarily involved with alumni affairs and career placement. In 1971 he was elected president of the Eastern College Personnel Offices.

Robert W. Macmillan '40 has been named assistant director of conferences. He will continue to manage the conference bureau and will assist Mr. Kimball in developing new conference activities.
