Secretary, 38 College View Heights South Hadley, Mass. 01075
Jake C'routhamel '60 was greeted by some 50 enthusiastic Pioneer Valley Alumni last month at the Yankee Pedlar Inn, an event duly noted by Bill Keating of the Holyoke Transcript.
Keating devoted both a story and a column to the visit. The coach is quoted: "To me, this was the turning point in the season when we beat favored Brown. Our blocking was the major factor in our vast improvement, not only in the Brown but Harvard, Yale, and other Ivy games." And, in his column, the sportswriter said, "... Crouthamel showed movies of all nine games played last fall, just about the best I've seen in a long time."
Bert Kent, 1910 secretary, greeted Coach and Mrs. Crouthamel and Chuck Fusonie '58, club president, and a quarterback when Jake was a sophomore on the team, was master of ceremonies. Also at the head table were Dr.John McHugh '58, past president; AndrewSchmidt '36, treasurer; and Secretary Hal Clark '22 and Mrs. Clark.
