Record Fund Pace

Strong progress by the reunion classes and a fine response to CHALLENGE 60 (the $250,000 fund established by three anonymous alumni to match increases and new gifts this year) have propelled the 60th anniversary Alumni Fund campaign to a lead of $85,000 and 325 contributors over last year's record pace. .As of May 24, the Fund had received $2,140,000 from some 13,000 contributors.

Fund Chairman Sandy McCulloch '50 pointed out that the Fund must increase by $500,000 over last year to reach its $3,750,000 goal. Although optimistic that $250,000 of this increment will be earned from CHALLENGE 60, he emphasized that the present $85,000 lead, which does not include Challenge dollars earned, must also swell to $250,000 by the close of the campaign on June 30. The current contribution lead must increase substantially for participation to reach the 60 per cent level sought this year.
