The Trustees at their April meeting voted to include student representatives on their new standing Committee on Student Affairs.

Four undergraduates will be picked from the 13-member Student Advisory Committee established to consult with Vice President Frank Smallwood '51 and Dean Ralph Manuel '58 on issues involving student life at the College. The Student Advisory Committee represents the four classes and other campus organizations.

The committee has been charged with providing "a structure for study and discussion of matters of College policy falling under the jurisdiction of the vice president for student affaiirs," serving "as a means of communication and contact between the board and the undergraduate student body," and making "recommendations to the board or others on such of these matters as the committee deems appropriate." Although all members will participate fully in discussions, only the Trustees will have voting power.

To further augment communication, the committee plans to hold periodic open meetings on campus so that all interested students can share ideas with the members.
