Nothing makes time pass more quickly than a 30-day note or a similarly spaced Magazine column deadline. I am completing two five year terms as secretary of 1930 and have enjoyed every year of it, the columns (some 80,000 words), the executive committee meetings, the Class Officers Weekends, the opportunity to represent the Secretaries' Association on the Alumni Council, and particularly the opportunity to know what's going on in 1930 circles. Under the administrations of Fred Scribner and John French, 1930 has prospered and we thank them for the attention they gave to assure that prosperity.

During the past decade our Class has lost 120 members. Presently there are 410 who have maintained their interest, and there is considerable evidence that enough of them will be in Hanover in June to establish a 46th Reunion attendance record.

At the Class Officers Weekend in early May, 1930 was represented by John, Milt Mclnnes,Ed Brazil, and Herb Chase. Charlie Widmayer joined us for lunch and reported that his Hopkins biography is ready to go to press and that Lari and he will go to Europe for six weeks in September. Stan Davis writes that (1) Liz and he were the only 1930 attendants at the Boston Alumni dinner and (2) that he is not retired from his position as chairman of Brockton Public Markets, Inc.

On March 6, Ed Weinstein married Anne Lebowitz of Bethesda. They are moving for the next academic year from New York to Princeton where Ed will be a Fellow in the Department of History working on a neuropsychologica biography of Woodrow Wilson.

We have learned of the death of Benjamin D.Parish on March 29, and extend our sympathy to Mary and their family.

We will reune in Woodstock on October 15. Executive Committee meeting Friday afternoon followed by cocktails at the Frenches. Saturday, luncheon, the Harvard game, and dinner at Woodstock Inn. Have a good summer.
