The seasonal change brings the return of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE and an abundance of class news. Hope you enjoyed the summer and that your autumn is crisp and vigorous.

Joel Reader is an investment banker with L.F. Rotschild, Unterberg and Towbin in New York City. He writes that he is enjoying the bachelor life there, and that he was recently named a director of Turf Paradise Inc., a racetrack in Phoenix, Ariz. Joel specializes in financing entertainment and leisure centers.

From the Midwest comes word that Win Neuger was appointed a vice president of investment research at Northwestern National Bank of Minneapolis.

Richard Zuckerman was a panelist at the College's Law Alumni Day last May. Richard is an associate in the litigation department of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton, and Garrison in New York City.

Keeping active in Virginia is Owen Oksanen. He practices family medicine in Luray, Va., where he also works as a medical examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration. He and his wife Jill have a son, Seth.

Chuck Schudson recently received an S1,800 award from the United States Department of Justice for superior performance as a prosecuting attorney. Chuck, an assistant Milwaukee County district attorney, worked with federal and state law enforcement officials in successfully investigating and prosecuting a family-service agency which had over-billed the State of Wisconsin by $750,000.

Flying high these days is Steve Arndt, who last May won the flexi-wing class hang-gliding tournament in Concord, N.H. Steve defeated competitors from all over New England and Puerto Rico, and advanced to the national hang-gliding tournament in Ellenville, N.Y., held last month. In the winter, Steve skates for the Concord Budmen senior hockey team.

Joel Hyatt's legal clinics in Cleveland recently entered into an agreement with H. R. Block, Inc., by which the income-tax- preparation company's management subsidiary will provide Hyatt Legal Clinics with office locations, advertising, and administrative services. As a part of this transaction, Joel becomes president of Block Management Company.

On screen, Bill Aydelott and Mark Arnott participated in the making of The SecaucusSeven, a film about a group of college activists reunited in North Conway, N.H., ten years later. Bill produced the film and Mark played one of the leading roles. The film has been favorably reviewed by Vincent Canby '45 in The New York Times, and also in Time magazine.

Tom Preacher joins the ranks of lawyers in the class, having just passed the lowa bar examination. Tom, who also studied philosophy at Brown University, was graduated from the University of lowa Law School this past summer. He is presently living in Davenport, lowa.

In Bronxville, N.Y., Bob Jeffe and his wife Liz recently became the parents of a baby girl, Alison. Bob is a vice president of the New York investment banking firm of Morgan Stanley & Co., Chip Carstensen is also in New York City, working as a lending officer for U.S. Trust.

Two former Chicagoans, Dave Konker and his wife Karen, are now living in the Pacific Northwest. Dave, a vice president of Chicago based Continental Bank, is in charge of the bank's newly opened office in Seattle. Another Chicagoan, Pat Martin, was recently married. Pat works for the mortgage banking firm of B. B. Cohen. His wife Sandy works for Illinois Bell.

On the personal side, Donna Fletcher '77 and I were married August 23 in Chatham, Mass., in an outside ceremony overlooking Pleasant Bay. Among those in attendance were Bob andLiz Jeffe, Dan and Linda Cooperman, Jack andAnne Curley, Fred Crossman, Chip Carstensen,Jim Gottschalk, Jeff Smith '71, Mike Fay '71 and his wife Chris Miller, Gay Shults '77, Heidi Osborn '77, and Mark Nawrocki '79.
