The April issue of the Magazine contained a review of a book by Larry Treat entitled Crime and Puzzlement, a series of sketches containing the solution of a crime. Incidentally, we learn that Larry has been hospitalized, but from the account of his activities, he is now doing all right. His Crime and Puzzlement series is going into television in Hungary. Larry received a short story prize at the International Crime Writers meeting in Stockholm and an anthology will be published in June. All of this confirms Larry's standing as an outstanding crimewriter.
In a previous issue we reported that Mildred Ellis was moving from the farm in Barboursville, Va. Her address is now 4335 Village Oaks Lane, Dunswoody, Ga. 30338.
The Robin Robinsons are busy traveling to various places where their grandson Andrew performs: to Bennington, Vt., for the All-New England Festival; to Boston for a concert by the New England Conservatory Youth Orchestra, which is going on a trip to Romania and Russia in June; and to Brunswick, Maine, where Andrew and another cellist will take part in a recital where they will present the world premiere of Robin's "Sonata in d minor" for cello and piano.
We have received a newsy letter from the Nilsens, telling about the Dartmouth alumni activities in the Sarasota area, which are always well attended by the '24s in the area. Among the most loyal are the Nilsens and the McCollums. The Nilsens plan to travel to Oregon this summer to visit their son Chris and his family, particularly their newest granddaughter Paige Emma. They will not spend the summer in Andover as has been their custom for several years since moving to Florida.
