At this writing, the "Fabulous 45th" is still in the planning stage, and you will have to wait a couple of months to read of it here. So it is business as usual.

Through the years of Bill Timbers's service as a judge with the U.S. Court of APtw heard numerous references to his love affair with his Norwegian Elkhounds hisT companions in court. He was a American Kennel Club for 14 years and retirement, is chairing it. Bill remains a senior judge in court but carrys a lighter load the A.K.C., established in 1884, is a non-profit organization devoted to the advancement' pure-bred dogs. It maintains a registry of recognized breeds and enforces rules for shows obedience trials. He and Charlotte bought lan in Surry, Maine, and in three years built livable log cabin of trees from their that he now refers to as his Maine "chambers

We recently received a great newspaper an cle on Joe TardifFs challenging duel over th past 13 years with the Appalachian Trail. By next summer he will have hiked the whole 2,100 miles from Maine to Georgia, doing it jn small segments. He and Olive drive to where he left off the time before, and she drives ahead : an established meeting place, so she is or, her own, too. Joe has also been climbing all the hills and mountains of any substance in New England and will eventually consume all of them, too. The MAGAZINE cannot reprint the article in its entirety, but will try to use it as source material in writing a piece on Joe. keep an eye out next season.

We are grateful to Olive for sending the article to us, as she claims Joe would be the last one to blow his own horn. She also sent a long article from the Exeter Gazette entitled "Where is Tom Mclntyre now?" Of course we km v that he and Myrtle are snug in their new home in Rye, N.H., while he continues in the law business with Sullivan & Worcestor, commuting on occasion to their Washington office Tom views the election of Ronald Reagan as a steadying influence and probably a good thing for the country, and he says Reagan should be given every chance to prove himself. He does not approve of the right-wing religious group called the Moral Majority. A problem Tom am: all members of Congress face is that they wear two hats a "state" hat and a "national hat so they have to be careful how they balance them off. The article is a rambling conversational interview which shows Tom to be healthy, relaxed, but still very vibrant in his work and attitudes.

In the broadcasting field, among winners of the George Peabody Award, we find Bill Leonard, former CBS Ngws president, honored for his role in developing the CBS news organization.

Dave Rainey was married to Betty McKee Bliss last December. They grew up together Beaver, Pa. Jim Hathaway has moved to the country but continues teaching at Appalachian State. Bill Donaldson's Tuck School son has been instrumental in taking the family business into multi-millions in sales. Lanny Moore, the oldest director of DAALI (Dartmouth Alumni Association of Long Island) is still working in the advertising business in New York while " is involved with real estate. Mike Petti retir from private practice last June but continue his two syndicated newspaper columns, ley Blaisdell says Ronny Browns eye ope' was a total success. Ronny has a good now, is coping well, and enjoys health. Ralph and Kay Griffith took the ? Pnnctss (Love Boat) cruise through the Caribbean He stays with A.A.A. of Rhode Island.

We were intrigued with the letter accompan a recent catalogue from the Casco Bay Trading Post in Freeport, Maine. The catalog has usually been mailed out to the class list by classmate Julian Leslie, president of the firm But this time there was a new unknown name as president. We wrote to Julian to inquire if he might have sold the business but so for have gotten no reply. Can anyone shed any

We very much regret to report the deaths of two more of our good guys Tom Wilson in Michigan and Charley Gordon in New York. Both are so recent that we may not get the obituaries in this issue. The class has extended deepest sympathy to both families.

Statistics from the new class directory show 500 active members, 205 retired, 53 widows, and 156 deceased. We live in all states with the exception of Kansas and Alaska.
