Just outside my window there is grass waiting to be cut and a garden waiting to be planted, so I guess it is at last safe to announce that spring is here. The Harveys spent most of what passed for early spring in taking leave of Block Island (our first attempt to move the furniture off was thwarted by the great April blizzard) and resettling in a new house in Essex. It's only a four-wood distant from our previa time quarters, and as soon as the curtains are up and the rugs down, we'll be delighted to offer shelter and/or refreshment to all '41s who pass this way.

We got word of Dave McGaughey's new responsibilities from two directions. First, the Connecticut General Life Insurance Company formally announced that Dave had been appointed medical director of insurance medicine. He's been associated as a physician with Connecticut General since 1952. Then, Dave's ex-roommate, Phil Hall, saw the newspaper reports of this event and sent us a clipping. As for Phil, he's still spending November-April H Long-Boat Key, Fla., with a monthly trip back to Meriden, Conn., to tend to his paper business there.
A couple of quick items. Larry Norton mentions that "our.three children are all married son and daughter here in Richmond. Va., with our five grandchildren, and the othei son in Atlanta." And from Washington. Dick Krolik says that his connection with the Braui public relations firm "didn't survive publication of the news it was a non-job.
