Thanks for the green cards from Cap Palmer. It is good to hear that there is still an interest in the Old Dartmouth we knew. These cards were from Art Wilcox, Dwight Keef, Go and Mrs. Bliss, Bunny Metzel, Ike Phillips, Don Goss all in reasonable good health and from Warren Cook, who admits to have written a long article on exposure limits for carcinogens and to have co-authored a book on occupational health risk management.
Charlie Zimmerman has again been honored by Connecticut Mutual at a gala dinner with a handsome program. The class further believes that your honors were real and well deserved.
A note from Betty McGhee enclosed an obituary in the Tico Times of San Jose which said, among other things, "HenryMeigs Keith Alvarado at 87 was perhaps not the oldest U.S. resident of Costa Rica, but was regarded as the most distinguished resident of that nation." It seems that Monk was a direct descendant of the conquistadors of Guatemala.
As a result of the letters to survivors and the placement of books in the library, there have been several responses, all of which reminds me, as class secretary and the one who has to write these obituaries, that all of us meet the same fate. Very frequently there is practically nothing to write. I believe we should all write up a short history (less that 250 words) and send it along to your secretary so that he can at least say a few good things about each of you. It will only take a few minutes of your time and it might give you the joy of looking backward. Seriously, give me a lift. I have already done mine and it gave me many pleasant moments of recollections of the past.
