Congratulations to Dick Harris, who was recently elected vice president, industrial, for : Anderson Clayton by the board of directors. Dick is a career Anderson Clayton employee with extensive experience in several phases of the company's business. He joined the firm in 1967 as an administrative assistant in the corporate commodity trading department and later held management positions with ACCO Feeds, Anderson Clayton-Mexico, and Ranger Insurance. In 1974, Dick was named vice president at Ranger and was subsequently promoted to vice presidential positions for Anderson Clayton Foods in Dallas, the corporate planning department in Houston, and the oilseed processing division in Phoenix. In his new position, Dick will be responsible for the Long Reach Manufacturing division, western cotton services division, ACCO Feeds division, and Texas oilseed processing division. He will also take the lead in assisting the executive committee in its long-range planning activities. Dick and his wife Carol reside in Houston.

Congratulations also go to DouglassSkopp, who has been promoted to full professor at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh. Doug joined the college's faculty as an assistant professor of history in 1972 and was promoted to associate professor in 1976. He chaired the history department in 1981 and 1982 and has returned to that position after spending the last year as acting associate vice president for academic affairs. Doug is a recipient of several SUNY research grants, the most recent of which funded a project entitled "Orienting Freshmen to the Liberal Arts" and led to the writing of "The Plattsburgh Legacy," a monograph sent to all incoming freshmen this past summer. Doug has also done considerable research on the educational system in Germany and has published numerous articles on that subject. After graduation, Doug received his master's degree from Connecticut College in 1964 and his doctorate from Brown University in 1974. He also studied at the University of Freiburg.

For the second consecutive summer we had the pleasure of hosting Pat and GordyMcKean and their children Penny, Bill, and Jim after their annual camping excursion on Cape Cod. Penny is back home in Ossining, N.Y., after a year of professional dancing on the West Coast. Gordy is still practicing law in Ossining and might even be getting involved in local polities.

Mini-Reunion Chairman Gene Gasbarro put together a great party after the Army game at West Point. Unfortunately, after leading for most of the game and being ahead 12-0 at one point, Dartmouth succumbed 13-12 after a fourth-quarter Army rally. Drinks and dinner following at the Bear Mt. Inn were attended by at least 15 classmates, plus many wives and children. The evening was capped by yet another showing of Ross Burkhardt's multi-media slide show. After at least four viewings, I am seeing additional things each time. For those of you who have still not seen it, I am sure that something similar will be created for the 25th reunion, and I encourage you to contribute material for it when asked.

Football games are a wonderful excuse to stage these mini-reunions; let's hope we had a good turnout at Harvard and Yale, and for the Cornell contest in Hanover. Our class meeting will have been held October 22 and will be discussed in next month's issue.

I am looking forward to a personal reunion with Frank Hight, whom I have not seen for several years. He is spending a long weekend with us for the Cornell game, in Boston and Hanover. It will have been his first football game since graduation. Frank is president of Sunstream Equipment Company, a construction equipment rental company in Florida. Frank, who was recently divorced, currently lives in Pompano Beach, Fla.
