Alumni Council Meets

For the first two days and they were the kind of days you would order for a Dartmouth get-together if you could the rain was nowhere in sight as the Alumni Council met in Hanover June 2nd through the 4th. From the Top of the Hop to the Drake Room to the Hayward Lounge at the Inn, the Council conducted a full agenda of business, renewed old acquaintances, and welcomed new members aboard. Highlights of the weekend's activities included a reception held on the back lawn of President McLaughlin's home and the presentation of the Council's Alumni Awards to Robert Adnopoz '54 of Hamden, Ct., John B. Hering '53 of Portland, Ore., Ralph Lazarus '35 of Cincinnati, and Joseph H. Young '45 of Baltimore. All told, the three-day affair was attended by alumni from as far west as California and as far south as Florida, and included Dartmouth alumni and spouses from the Classes of 1922 through 1983.
