When you are coordinating class notes from Malaysia, every bit of information helps. This column is dedicated to all of you who wrote notes on the backs of your class dues payments. Without you this column would not have been necessary, let alone possible.

Since three people sent word of the August 11, 1984, marriage of Karen Negris and ScottHacker, Scott and Karen get top billing. Karen is a second-year law student at Columbia, and Scott is in his third year as a chemistry grad student at Columbia. He is aiming for a Ph.D. in organometallic chemistry one of my all-time favorties.

Marie Connolly was the maid of honor and Christi Strauss, Marjie Mac Lean, and DickO'Meara were also in the wedding party. Marie is working for Chase Lincoln First Bank, part of the Chase Manhattan empire, and she recently joined the Cash Management Department as a sales and consulting specialist. My question is, who needs help managing his or her cash? I have no trouble dealing with my cash, do you? I can see the management of stocks, bonds, loans, etc., but cash management? Next it will be Preschooler Allowance Management.

Marjie is in her second year at the University of Chicago Law School where she "lives on the edge of a ghetto. It's quite a shock after Dartmouth. Security problems are so bad it wouldn't even be safe to have a 'Take Back the Night' march. Often it isn't safe during the day."

Daniel Gaulin was married in August to Nancy Perschbacher, Mount Holyoke '82. Tom Bledsoe, Steve Levitan, and Brian Herrie attended the wedding and ensuing party. Dan is working as a planner for the City of New York. Nancy and he reside in Brooklyn.

Marty Jacobs was also married in August to Scott Rebhun '83. They took the matrimonial plunge during a beautiful ceremony at the Ravine Lodge, attended by many of the "2 Dorrance" crowd.

And in yet another August wedding, Diane Rusanowsky married Kenneth Oakes '81. Steve Lindell and Phil Weber were present. Diane is working as a marine biochemist for the National Marine Fisheries Service in Milford, Conn.

Another face in the nuptial crowd is JeffreyNewman, who will marry Anne Northrop 'B5 on June 22, 1985. The service will be at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Hanover. In the meantime, Jeffrey is serving in the New Jersey National Guard as a tank platoon leader with the rank of second lieutenant.

Several people wrote of medical school plans. (Is there anyone out there who does not want to go to law, medical, or business school? Please contact me c/o the above ad- dress; I need reassurance as to the diversity of the Dartmouth Experience.) Michele Wylen has entered Georgetown med as an '88. Andy Searcy spent 1983 finishing up pre-med courses at the University of North Carolina, and he spent 1984 working as a nurse's aide in Augusta, Maine, but now it's medical school at the University of Pittsburgh. CarolMason is between her second and third years at Albany Medical School, but she has decided to take a one-year leave of absence to do research in medical ethics at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown.

Barbara Allen is in Newport, R:I, working at a hotel and applying to the Cornell School of Hotel Management. After two years in journalism she decided it was not for her. Jim Croteau has been promoted to operations manager at Roadway Express. As a result, he and his wife, Barbara, have relocated to Esmond, R.I. "Beaver" Shriver wrote that he had started The Outpost, a magazine which

"caters to hunters, fisherman, outdoorsman, and others (wide-open category.)" He described his office in Hot Springs, Va., as "kind of a nice laid-back' scene here in Hot Springs." It sounds more like a hot tub than an office.

Late-breaking news flash! In our first episode of "Young Doctors in Love," first-year Dartmouth Medical School colleagues Sandy Kelsey and Anne Braken, a sophisticated Princeton Tiger, announced their engagement on New Year's Eve. Episode two will feature their wild and wonderful wedding this July at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. Rumor has it that the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Pope are vying for permission to hear the nuptial vows.
