Summer is coming! Just think, we were all getting ready to spend our sophomore summer at our dear old alma mater almost 10 years ago! First off, just a friendly reminder for those who haven't paid class dues yet to do so by June 30, otherwise, your Alumni Magazine subscription will expire come September. Did you know class dues help to cover the costs of you, a Dartmouth '96, being able to receive the magazine you are holding in your hand right now, our award-winning '96 Evergreen newsletter, mini-reunions around the country and administering other class tasks, such as reunions? And speaking of reunions, our 10-year reunion is coming up! So if you haven't paid the class dues yet, you're just a click away: www.dartmouth.org/classes/96/paydues.html.

Katie (Shutzer) and Jim Brennan recently wrote in with exciting news. Katie and Jim are the happy and proud parents of James "Jack" Francis Brennan 111, born last November 2,2003. The family is currently residing in Hoboken, New jersey, and Katie notes that "Jacks 'stuff' is rapidly taking over our apartment!" But they don't mind at all and find that "being parents is more wonderful and amazing than we ever could have imagined." Right now Katie's enjoying being at home with Jack and Jim is enjoying his work as a consultant for McKinsey and Cos. The Dartmouth couple planned to take Jack on his first trip up to Hanover in April. Hmmm.. .might little Jack end up in the class of 2025?

Who would have known that if you wore a Dartmouth cap in the middle of Belize, you would come across Isabelle (Beilman) McMillen? That's what happened to David Chemerow '73 and his wife, Doreen. The Chemerows were vis- iting the Cockscomb Jaguar Preserve in Belize late last December and David's Dartmouth hat captured Isabelle's attention and triggered along conversation between the alumni. Isabelle is cur- rently working at the 220,000-acre preserve, serving as a volunteer with the Audubon Society of Belize. David noted that despite the lack of electricity in the preserve and the voracious appetites of the bugs there, Isabelle looked great and was doing well.

It's always nice to hear what our classmates have been up to. Whether you're enjoying the joys of parenthood, or volunteering for a good cause, let me know and drop me an e-mail!
