Would you believe that Elise Miller is living in jail cell-like room in New Delhi, India, in a house owned by two Sikh brothers/bachelors? Elise is spending a year there while studying international journalism. Her soon-to-be-published first article is on educational reform in India, and she spent December writing a feature on video buses, the new Indian craze.

When Elise isn't Working, she's being adventurous. She recently went elephantriding in a game park near the foothills of the Himalayas in search of tigers. When she's not on the elephant, she rides her new single-geared bicycle complete with a bell! No more standing in line for buses or dealing with rickshaw drivers now the biggest problem is dodging cattle on the streets!

Diana Shannon has spent the last several months traveling and working in Africa for the U.N. After a short visit in Ohio with her family, Diana went to New York where she visited Sharon Matthews,Eva Lindholm, and Valerie Hartman. Now she's in Bulgaria working for the Professors Meadows.

David Coco and Dom Gaeta spent Christmas together in Rome. ShirelyAdelson is attending rabbinical school at Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem and is in the first year of the Reform Movements five-year program.

There's also been some exciting news on the home front. A belated congratulations to Bill Budd and Nancy Niekrash, who were married in Connecticut on December 28. Tyler Lindblad was Billy's best man, and several '85s attended the wedding. After their honeymoon, Billy and Nancy moved to NYC, where Billy's employed with Lazard-Freres.

This year will hold a few more '85 weddings, included Bob Ramsey's. Bob is marrying Ann (forgive me, I just can't remember Ann's last name). Next to tie the knot are Bobby Jangro and Jennifer Marrion. Bob is teaching math and coaching hockey at the Carnegie Mountain School, where Jennifer's father is the headmaster. Congratulations to you all!

There are a lot of '85s who wrote that they are finally working. Salvatore Sorce finally landed a much-wanted investment banking job. He's working at Citicorp as a swaps agency specialist, evaluating the hedge portfolio for all currency and interest rate swaps. In January he developed the computer system to handle new, more complex deals. He's looking for an '85 to share an apartment in Manhattan or Brooklyn Heights does anyone need a roommate?

Dana Blatt is another one who says she's finally working. Dana's employed with a lobbying coalition in Washington, D.C. Gail Sue Gauldin is teaching special-ed children in Maryland, and BethNegronida is (or was) temporarily passing time as a tennis pro in Chicago. DanKeen is keeping the Hanover Inn Tavern in business. Rob Behre is in South Carolina writing for the Greenville Piedmont.

Beth Parish wrote a nice note about the Boston crowd. She's living in Somerville with Laura Swain. Laura's a paralegal (slave, according to Beth) at a law firm in Boston. Down the street from them lives Margaret Warram, who's working for a psychologist in Cambridge and sharing an apartment with Lisa Allard '84. AnneJohnson and Lori Bamberger are living in Cambridge too, right near Harvard.

Speaking of Harvard, how's Frank Cicero? He is the assistant sports information director there. Jim Caras is probably breezing through his first year at Harvard Law.

Dave Marder is in law school at either Boston College or Boston University (my informers did not know exactly), and Shelley Leavitt is enjoying University of Texas grad school in Austin. Joe Riley is attending Georgetown Law.

I've heard that Claudia Braeker is home in Memphis working in a bookstore and job-hunting. Dave Lashar and Dan Gray are living in D.C.

Jim Covell - are you out there? Thanks to all'of you who took the time to write. Keep up the good words!
