The Hood Museum of Art is planning a major exhibition of works of art owned by alumni and friends of the College. To open in the fall of 1987, the show will focus on European and American art before 1900, including paintings, prints, drawings, sculpture, photographs, and the decorative arts. Those with pieces they are interested in lending for the exhibition are encouraged to contact the Hood Museum with descriptions and, if possible, photographs of works appropriate for the show. In order to meet the catalogue deadline, suggestions must be received by May 1.
Collectors of art in other categories-such as Asian, ethnographic, or modern art - are also encouraged to inform the Hood of their holdings for possible future exhibitions in those areas.
American selections may be sent to Barbara MacAdam and European suggestions to Hilliard Goldfarb, respective curators for those areas; Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH 03755.
