Artist honored
Varujan Boghosian, Jewett professor of art, has been elected to membership in the American Institute of Arts and Letters. Election to the 250-member group is the highest formal recognition of achievement in arts and letters in this country. Boghosian's work, mainly sculpture and collage, is in the collections of the . Museum of Modem Art, the Whitney Museum, and many other major American museums. He has been at Dartmouth since 1968.
Prof named president
Frederic Rueckert, professor of clinical surgery at the medical school, has been elected president of the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation. A member of the organization's board since 1975, he is vice chairman of the department of surgery at the Medical School, where he has been since 1956. The organization provides information on plastic surgery to both patients and professionals.
