Our 60th reunion brought out 53 classmates, one honorary classmate, 39 wives, 12 widows, eight offspring, two siblings, and one guest, for a total of 116 enough to win a cup for best attendance of any 60th reunion class. We also presented President McLaughlin with a kingsized check (six feet by three feet) for $192,600 the goal amount of our reunion Alumni Fund gift.

Congratulations to reunion chairman Jake Jacobus and head agent GeorgeScott and their committees for these outstanding accomplishments. A kudo for Mary Lou Orr for taking over as reunion treasurer March 25 when her husband Stewart G. Orr a wonderful man who had done so much for 1926 and Dartmouth passed on. Also a kudo for DetHarwood who designed the attractive men's favor, a pewter bola tie a green enamel "D" encircling the College pine, senior pipe, and class numerals. Our innovative "class tent" was Hanover Inn's Sid Hayward Lounge.

A guided tour of the College started our first day (sunny but cool), then a panel discussion with three senior and two faculty members. After cocktails at Hayward Lounge and dinner at Thayer Hall the Glee Club staged a delightful concert in Spaulding.

After Tuesday breakfast at Thayer, the Association of Alumni annual meeting was held in Spaulding and President McLaughlin reported on the state of the College and answered questions. Our class meeting followed with brief reports and re-election of all present officers and executive committee members. George Slight, husband of Grace Murdough, was proposed and elected as an adopted member of the class. George, who has no college affiliation, has enjoyed his Dartmouth connection, having attended with Grace recent class events. Also he has two grandchildren Donal O'Brien '8O and Kit O'Brien '86.

Noonday cocktails were enjoyed on the Top of the Hop deck. At the class luncheon in Alumni Hall given by the College, President McLaughlin gave a forthright account of Hanover events last fall, winter, and spring and fielded all questions. Afterwards many visited the recently opened Hood Museum of Arts another fine facility of the College.

The class dinner at the Hanover Inn followed cocktails in Hayward Lounge. Professor Jere Daniell '55, guest speaker, gave a very interesting talk describing Dartmouth yesterday and today and answered many questions about happenings on campus. After dinner, re-runs of the 1922-26 class movies were shown in Hayward Lounge.

Taxi service supplied by the reunion committee, which had been frequently and gratefully used by many, was necessarily used by all due to rain on Wednesday. Drivers were undergraduates assigned to us by the College and were most helpful and thoughtful. After Thayer Hall breakfast our memorial service was held at the White Church, whose pastor, Harold MacKenzie, gave a moving memorial meditation, and Dick Eberhart read some of his appropriate poetic works. In the order of service Dick had also written a meaningful foreword expressing love for those 396 classmates who are with us in memory on our 60th anniversary.

After class pictures were taken in Webster Hall, a visit to the 1926 Memorial Room and Treasure Room in Baker Library to see the class memorial book collection was made enjoyable by the hospitality and helpfulness of the archives staff. Reunion was concluded with luncheon at the Dartmouth Outing Club on Occum'Pond and then it was "See you at the 65th!"

Congratulations go to Ritchie Smith, Orinda, Calif., who in spite of health conditions traveled the farthest to be at reunion, and thanks to his daughter Deborah Wentworth for coming with him to make this possible.
