Each year a few alumni are selected to receive the College's prestigious Alumni Award. The selection is made by the Alumni Awards Committee of the Alumni Council.
There are specific criteria that the committee uses in its selection process. The primary qualification is long-standing service to Dartmouth but career achievement and community service are also important ingredients.
Alumni are not considered for the award until after their 25th reunion, and incumbent Trustees and Alumni Council members are not eligible for an Alumni Award until their terms of office expire. Alumni who are College officers are not eligible while they are in the employ of the College.
The Alumni Awards Committee is always open to suggestions for consideration. Names may be forwarded to the Alumni Affairs Office, Dartmouth College, 304 Blunt Alumni Center, Hanover, NH 03755.
