Dartmouth's Ivy Football Schedule
OCTOBER • 1987

October 17: at Harvard. (Last year's game against Dartmouth: Harvard, 42-26.) The offensive and defensive lines have great size and skill with valuable varsity experience. But the defensive backfield was a question mark last season and remains one this season. Both the starting kicker and punter from last year have graduated. There is inexperience at wide receiver.

October 24: at Cornell. (Last year's game: Cornell, 10-7). The Big Red defense returns six starters, making the secondary, linebackers and interior line tough and experienced. Wide receiver has depth and talent. The of- fensive backfield, on the other hand, was hit hard by graduation. The of- fensive line has questionable depth at center and guard.

October 31: Yale. (Last year: Dartmouth, 39-13.) Talented men at quarterback and tailback should give the Elis a potent attack if a young offensive line can mature early. The tight end spot is deep. But only three defensive starters return.

November 7: at Columbia. (Last year: Dartmouth, 41-0.) Columbia still appears to have a young team, and leaders will need to step forward on both sides of the ball.

November 14: Brown. (Last year: Tie, 21-21.) Brown boasts a strong quarterback and a deep running-back corps, but the linebacking unit was hit hard by graduation.

November 21: at Pennsylvania. (Last year: Pennsylvania, 21-7.) Tight end and wide receiver positions are solid. The defensive line is probably the squad's most talented area. The kicking game should be strong. But the linebacking corps and secondary are relatively inexperienced.
