Reunion chairman Gene Gasbarro reports that the class is about to set attendance records at the June 18-21 event. It appears that 350 classmates will return, and with spouses, guests, and children, the total attendance could top 1,000. Head agent Barry Alperin and reunion giving chairman Mike Rouzee are optimistic about reaching our goal of $1,620,000, which would set a new record for 25-year giving, and continue the trend that the class set with giving records at the 15th and 20th reunions.

Robert MacPhail has been named as the new chief at the Massachusetts Department of Revenue's Appeal and Review Bureau, the unit which conducts hearings on disputes between taxpayers and DOR over audits. He joined DOR in 1973 as an auditor and became deputy chief of the multistate bureau, where he had spectacular success in detecting and collecting unpaid taxes owed by national firms doing business in Massachusetts.

Jeff Urstadt and his brother Charles '49 will purchase the Nugget Arcade Building on South Main Street from the Hanover Improvement Society for $2.1 million. The deal is contingent on subdivision approval by the Hanover Planning Commission that would allow the parties to separate the retail and professional office sections of the building from the Nugget Theater, which will remain the property of the improvement society.

John Mussman was recently appointed as vice president of marketing, Townsend Division of Textron Inc. He will be responsible for directing and coordinating all domestic and international marketing operations. Prior to joining Townsend in October 1986, John served as vice president of marketing at New Hampshire Ball Bearings and has held numerous sales and marketing management positions at U.S. Steel Corporation. John, wife Judy, and children will be relocating to the Charlotte, N.C., area, where corporate headquarters for five strategic North American operations is located.

The Philadelphia chapter of the American Institute of Architects has announced that Robby Gox, AIA, has been elected president and chairman of its board of directors for 1987. The prestigious professional organization of over 900 architects is the oldest continuously operating AIA Chapter in the country. As principal in charge of design for Curtis Cox Kennedy, an architecture, landscape architecture, planning, and interior design firm in Philadelphia, he has been responsible for the award-winning Pennsylvania State Game Commission Headquarters and the recent renovation plans for the Fidelity and Witherspoon buildings in center city Philadelphia.

I am saddened to report the death of Bob Bannerman December 20, 1986 in Nairobi, Kenya. Hop Holmberg '61 wrote from Kenya that Bob was killed in a traffic accident. On behalf of the class, I offer condolenses to wife Claire, whose address is American Embassy, Box 65, APO New York, NY 09675-5000. Fraternity brother Kent Hutchinson has offered to write the obituary, which will appear in a subsequent issue.
