COVER When the editors commissioned Nancy Wasserman '77 to photograph students singing the alma mater, she had some unexpected difficulties. Not all of the group she assembled in front of Dartmouth Hall wanted to appear on the cover in support of the current "Men of Dartmouth." Several finally agreed to pose with their mouths closed. The students, who were selected at random, are part of a low-key campus debate that examines the College's very roots.
