Jack Weisert asked if he could help in the Red Rolfe campaign by writing to the sportswriters on the 18member Hall of Fame Committee on Veterans which does the electing, supporting Red's nomination by then President McLaughlin. I am seeking the names and addresses of these writers for Jack, who has promised to embellish the envelopes of his letters to them with some of those gorgeous new stamps put out by the French post office.

In Hanover during the Lehigh game weekend Ralph Hunter brought me up-to-date on matters in Hanover, including the move of Hitchcock/Dartmouth Medical School about three miles down the road toward Lebanon, where ground-breaking ceremonies were to take place the following week. I had a delightful visit with the Hunters and with the Bob Wildmans '34 in whose house I was guest. At the Inn Kaffee Klatsch on Friday morning I sat next to BunceClarkson, and listened to the opinions of the Old Guard on local events which included the CBS "60 Minute" task force gathering material for a presentation on the Cole/Review matter.

At the game I saw the Clarksons. The Hunters said that they saw Phil Holden, but since my galloping arthritis had taken up temporary residence in my left knee, I was unable to prowl the stadium to look for other '31ers. Lehigh's fine team put the score out of reach early in the game,, but our boys never quit trying, and made some dandy plays in the second half. I am pleased to report, however, that in my view there were enough bright spots to give optimism for future performance. Meanwhile there might be a re-run or two of David versus Goliath. The best of holidays!
