Reunioning classes usually make a gift of lasting worth to the College, and for this purpose we have accumulated some $13,000. A committee consisting of SamCunningham, Jack Manchester, and JeffDavis have recommended a lighted kiosk near Hood Museum to display current and future exhibits. What is left over is to be given to the John Sloan Dickey Endowment for International Understanding.

Our man in Minnesota reports that FredHelmholz, long-time staff member of the Mayo Clinic, has been granted an award by the Respiratory Care Foundation, citing his research in pulmonary physiology and contributions to patient care. Our man also reports that the First National Bank of Minneapolis has an outside skating rink where for many years Lyme Wakefield cut a neat figure on the ice. Some time ago he left the First to help found The Resource Bank and Trust Company, which we hope also has an outside rink.

The Manchester, N.H., Union Leader gave a long overdue award to Forrie Branch, describing him as "the dean of New England high school coaches." After being at the center of Dartmouth football for several years, he coached at Middlebury and Kimball Union, then returned to Hanover to teach and coach, winning two state football championships and one in hockey.

Ed Foley and his minions are using gentle persuasion for classmates still undecided about the 55th. He spent part of the winter skiing in Vermont and Colorado, and is looking forward to the reunion.

Now for some tidbits of news. Sam Cunningham has forsaken the pines of Thetford, Vt., and returned to the palms of Sarasota. Dave Russell crossed the state of Florida to join Wes and Jan Beattie, KenSpang, and your scribe for a meeting of the Dartmouth Club of S.W. Florida. Gay Milius is still very active with the American Radio Relay League, making many trips up and down the East Coast for meetings and seeing classmates. Emily Hobbs has graciously assumed the role of co-ordinator of activities for the ladies of '33.
