We're half way to our fifth reunion, the class of '9l is at Dartmouth, and Ronald Reagan's term in office is almost finished. I'd like to update you on some little known 'Bss in the upcoming '88 Presidential race.

John Holleran is campaigning on a platform of commitment for life to a woman he met at Washington & Lee Law School. Hondo plans to marry in September and work in a Richmond law firm. Also graduating from Washington & Lee are LauraHicks and Dave Carson. Laura will be working in Miami following graduation and Dave plans to clerk for a judge in Virginia.

Midwestern candidate Chip Conner is trying to get his firm, Progressive Insurance, to "ensure" a Super Bowl victory in '89 for the Browns. Chip's campaign manager, Peter Blum, is digging up dirt on the competition for the Indianapolis News. (Note this correction from last month, Pete does not work for the Indianapolis Star.)

Keith Goggin is developing hardware/ software for Boltronics outside of Boston. Keith is the guy who makes your local car wash go, and says, if elected he'll make sure there's a car wash in every town. I hear Keith bought a new house but still has nothing on the walls, and is considering purchasing the Hovey Murals. Maybe Gathering Dale can help Keith; she just opened an art consulting business in New York.

The Jamaican candidate is Pam Quanrud, who was seen as an undercover backup for a Reggae band. Last I heard Pam was working in the foreign service over there. Speaking of music, Tom Cutler is still with Leo Burnett in Chicago and jamming Friday nights with a folk group. Between gigs, Tom plays in squash tournaments.

The ranks of the unification party are swelling: Bill Maag and Traci Pulciani have decided to tie the knot. Bill's with the Bank of New England and Traci's in sales for Prudential. Jen Root is engaged to a fellow Dartmouth Med student. Finally, sources inform me the Alison Frankel and Dan Fagin will be joined. I hope this thing isn't contagious!

In Hartford, Mary Beth Clark is the leading candidate and says buying men's accessories for G. Fox has given her new insight into what make men tick. Mary Beth has just moved in with her personal advisor, Barb Van Buskirk, who is still working for P & G in sales.

Kara Rillings is living in Queens and doing print production work. Kara says she's presently undecided, but mentioned that Dan Freeh—working at AT&T in Reading, Pa., on underwater laser optics—is her choice for director of the Star Wars program. Kara also says that the newspaper bug has bitten Sue Mihalic, who's covering dance, theater, and art for a paper called Metroland in Albany.

Sources tell me Becky Blake helps make foreign students feel welcome in the U.S., placing them with U.S. families for E.F., which is like AFS.

Our final item, congratulations to Precious Stargell, whose father Willie was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Tune in next month for news from another guest columnist.
