"If nominated, I will not ran, if elected I will not serve," I told them. Unfortunately, nothing was said about railroading, so I write to you, your newly, duly railroaded class secretary. Seriously, I am looking forward to . the opportunity of getting (back) in touch with many of my friends and acquaintances in the class of '75
There were friends aplenty, and acquaintances old and new at our 15th Reunion on June 16-18. A special wah-hoo-wah to Bill"Zorro' Zorn and Doug White for an outstanding effort in carrying off the program without a hitch. The festivities culminated at the DOC House on Saturday mght where our class was entertained and bemused by "toastmaster" Duke Hart, and guest speaker Dick Jaeger, Dart Col's director of admissions and soon-to-be athletic director. Mark Hinman (outgoing prez) announced the newly elected class president (Roger Clarkson), treasurer (Jeff Sassorossi), head agent (Jim Bildner), and secretary (yours truly). One last toast to the outgoing officers who did an admirable job.
There was also plenty of time under the tent to catch up with the lost souls. Not nearly enough space here to relay all of the news gathered. Just a few of the more inerestimr tidbits: Rob Rees-Jones is working at Columbia Medical School to find a cure for aging. We'd all like a piece of that deal. Zack Greenhill has just left our dipomatic mission in Panama after doing all he could to contribute to the solution there, Jeff Bennett is working on special projects for Merrill Lynch, trying to figure a way out of that mess. Fred Cairn has a recently opted son, and is enjoying being an atorney the Pacific Northwest. CharliePerkins is now the managing editor of the Manchester Union Leader, taking investigative journalism to dizzying new heights. Scott Mosenthal is teaching high school, wondering how we survived those brutal years. Peter Darbee is now heading up the telecommunications group for Goldman Sachs. Lots of wives (pretty) and kits (cute). Including our six-week-old Elizabeth Lockett Winchell on her first trip to Hanover. Class of 2011.
We missed each and every one of you who couldn't make it, and hope to see you at the 20th. In the meantime, please drop me a note and let me know what you're up to. Otherwise, I might be forced to make something up. Several of you will be deputized in the next few weeks to help keep this collumn packed with goodies. Nuff sed.
