Mary-Beth Lindenthal Jones, you saved the day! Mary-Beth wrote from her home in Concord, Mass., to say that she and George '76 were thrilled to announce that Samuel Bock Jones arrived this past March. Sam's older brother George, 3, is already teaching him all sorts of "tricks."
Other than this item, the mailbox for news of classmates has been empty—so please come one, come all, to the rescue! It would be better to work from facts than to have to resort to fiction. We think lanFrank was married just after Thanksgiving, but have no official report to share. We've enjoyed drizzling honey from Edy Ullmann and Bruce Gorden's bees into our tea as winter settles in.to New England, and are wondering if they have managed to find some time to relax now that the California rains have slowed the firefighting season. In particular, we thought of them and numerous other classmates and Dartmouth friends who used to trek with us to the Dartmouth Outing Club of Northern California's cabin at Donner Pass for Thanksgiving. We did hear that the usual four-foot snowfall descended the night before Turkey Day in the Sierras, making for great skiing for those who managed to get into the mountains.
The class officers may try to meet how unusual this spring to talk about setting goals for the remainder of our time in office (until the 15th Reunion in 1992). So if you have any thoughts or ideas about what, if anything, our class should try to accomplish, let us know. Complaints, questions, and other suggestions are welcome, too!
Earlier this past fall, we did our usual trip to the Norwich Farmer's Market, and ran into Wu So-Fai, Chip Elliott '76, and Ho Lap-Yiu '78. Wu and Chip live here in the Upper Valley, while Ho lives in Toronto ana works for Digital Equipment. Ho had a great idea, which we relay here: for those of you able to use computer networks, your commentaries on the doings of fellow classmates can be sent to us directly. Our E-mail (electronic mail, for the unfamiliar among you) addresses are: Carol.Muller @ Dartmouth. EDU; and Albert.Henning @ Dartmouth.EDU. (The capitals are unnecessary.) For those in other classes with tidbits at your fingertips, your class secretary can have mail relayed through us.
