Sincere apologies for the long silence, but circumstances really were beyond control. Most of my news dates back to last summer.
A long letter from Arlene (Mrs. Charles) Sargent tells of Charles's health problems and his residence in Bear Hill Nursing Home, Wakefield, plus her own difficulties.
Laura Carter proudly reports a new namesake, Laura Ann Buso, her fifth greatgranddaughter, via her son Doug '49.
From-Red Tilson, the fiscal report for 1987-88 notes bequests from Sherman Adams and Lucille (Mrs. Fred) Calhoun.
Hope Frey, as A 1 used to do, has forwarded messages enclosed with class dues:
From Helen (Mrs. Howard) Pullen, a brief bulletin from Battle Creek, Mich. Ellen (Mrs. Benjamin) Ayres feels fortunate to have devoted friends and happy familybut "really no news." Ellie (Mrs. Alton) Palmer reports "amazing" growth of the Dartmouth Club of Central Florida. Ginny (Mrs. Edmund) Bowen flew to Denver in late May for the graduation of her second grandson from the Air Force Academy. Peg (Mrs. Franklin) Johnson was making "a grand recovery" from illness that began in early August. Anne (Mrs. Earl) Thomson, hospitalized for months after a severe heart attack, was making progress learning to walk again. And the usual cheerful message from Sig Sigler tells that he and Betty are still enjoying retirement in Largo, Fla. Alice (Mrs. Bud) Weymouth, laid low since mid-August by complications of ills, is also learning to walk again. Let me know if you'd like addresses for any of the above. Greetings for 1989 from Pat and Nancy.
