The Alumni Fund is in high gear, and, in anticipation of our 35th Reunion, Brooks Parker and his band of stalwarts are working towards a class total of $555,555. (Amazing coincidence.) We can all make both possible, satisfying, andjojoyable!

Alan Andersen in Dallas, Tex., "after 30 years of trying" qualified for the USGA Senior Amateur Championship Golf in Milwaukee. While Alan didn't win, he indicated he had a good time playing. In Dallas he has represented Dartmouth in a local golf tournament where his team finished third.

Bob Cleveland has been found, having been "lost" since 1968! Bob retired from the Marine Corps in 1979 after almost 25 years of.active service and went to Raleigh to work for a North Carolina electric utility company. After five years of administrative work, Bob left to enroll in Duke Divinity School and is now an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and pastor of a congregation in Raleigh. Bob and his wife of 33 years have two sons, two daughters, and two grandchildren and live just outside Raleigh. "I'm glad to be back on the list." (We're glad you've been found.)

John Harlor spent several weeks last fall commuting from Boston to Wilmington, Del., testifying on behalf of Polaroid in defense of the hostile take-over threat by Shamrock. He is now taking advantage of Polaroid's early retirement program and after 30 years with that fine company will soon move on to new things such as teaching and consulting. John indicates that Randy Hayes is also taking early retirement from IBM after 30-plus years.

Dick Hogarty, one of our professors at the University of Massachusetts in Boston, has been selected by the university faculty council as a representative to the university's board of trustees. (It is always very nice when your peers do the honors.)

Leon Martel and his wife, Marilee, spent some time last summer in England and, between business and holiday stops in London, went down to the "English Riviera" and visited the original Dartmouth (the town at the mouth of the Dart River). "The place is a bit inaccessible having gotten there via a ferry—but the town, restricted in size by its confined location, spills down narrow streets and brightly colored buildings to the riverside quays of its fine port. A recommended stop for all who know Dartmouth as only a landlocked place!"

Ed Willi continues to travel from West Redding, Conn., to Chile, South America, and went to Paris in October for the CIAC Food Convention Show. As his wife, Cecilia, said, Ed got his yearly kick by beating an 18-year-ola boy at tennis. "Spirit still there!" And it must have been a nice occasion when their daughter Denise was married this past summer.
