A POWERFUL DRAMA FOR DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION

Nick, Karen, Barry, Greg and Mandy. Five different teenagers, from different backgrounds.

They have one thing in common. All of them have used alcohol and other drugs.

Sponsored by affiliates of the National Federation of Parents for Drug Free Youth, PRIDE, Chemical People, Youth to Youth, Families in Action, National Council on Alcoholism, Youth at Risk programs and other groups of concerned people, over 450,000 young people and their parents have met these five teens in school performances. Audiences identify with the characters in Halfway There, the award-winning drama that presents the reasons and feelings that lead young people to drug use in the first place.

Produced by Sunna Rasch, Halfway There is based on the actual experiences and writings of recovering teenagers.

Full of music, drama, humor, and hope, the production makes a lasting impression on all who see it. One school administrator hailed Halfway There as "the finest assembly program I have experienced in my fourteen years of education".

A police officer in New York called it "a mandatory rite of passage for all adolescents and youth-oriented professionals." A student observed that "the actors and actresses were so real to life that it was scary." A U.S. congressman described it as "one of the most powerful and moving presentations on drug abuse that I have seen."

Millions of teens use alcohol and other drugs each year. Halfway There effectively brings about individual and group changes in perception about drug use. Won't you help make a difference in their lives by sponsoring Halfway There in your community.
