One of my scouts in Newport writes that John McCrillis is out of the hospital and back in his home. He is doing well, and a newspaper picture shows him at an outdoor picnic celebrating the 100th anniversary of the insurance firm of McCrillis and Eldredge.

Don Lovejoy died recently. He was a very loyal member of the class and will be missed.

Richard L. Strout, a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist whose career with the Christian Science Monitor spanned six decades, died in September. He had covered press conferences of 12 presidents. Dick was a member of the class during our freshman year but transferred to Harvard.
