Among the anticipated events for the '45-'46-'47 45th Reunion is a joint Glee Club concert, featuring members of the Glee Club from the midforties. Bob Paulson, reunion chairman, has been working with his counterparts Jon McClintock '46 and Ham Chase '47, and Harry Hampton is the chief recruiter. He can be reached at 203/488-1177. The program is scheduled for the banquet on June 10, with an afternoon rehearsal; the aim is to secure enough singers from the three classes to avoid outside recruiting, so call Harry now while it is on your mind. Then send advance reservation to Ted Smith at 483 Franklin St., Reading, MA 01867-1221.

The mini-reunion was again a great success, thanks to George and Betsy Barr,Cliff and Betty Jordan, and the Hanover area hosts, Joe and Dorrie Young and Spence and Connie Johnson. The former hosted a cocktail party and cookout on Friday in Norwich, while the latter opened their Quechee home for happy hour on Saturday, followed by dinner at Murphy Farm, part of the Quechee establishment. Rain on Saturday a.m. scared a few people away from football, but the sun broke through, and there was a normal-sized tailgate crowd. Dartmouth showed first game instability, but subsequent games have shown the Big Green to be a definite Ivy League contender. In the awards portion of the weekend John Osborn was named '45 Man of The Year. He has been an outstanding treasurer, and despite attrition he seems to be able to find more dues payers every year. If you have not sent yours in, do it now. Winner of the Johnny Brooks Memorial Golf Tournament was Gertie Cuder, wife of Sam, which goes to prove that, even with the Calloway system, the best golfers win. Gertie shot an 82.

Attendees at all or part of the activites were Sylvia Reed, Trudie Butler, Cutlers,Suttons, Aldriches (with daughter), Fryes,Hamptons, Aldoms, Michaels, Osborns,Johnson, Vic Smith (Vesta was organizing a Bates reunion), Sandoes, Glueks,Pierces, Ted Smiths, Paulsons, BobPearse, Steve Hull (Jean was jet-lagged since they were just home from Europe), Hutchins, Caravatts, Rileys, JohnWhites, Heintzelmans, Youngs, Barrs,Feltons, Jordans, Ted Whites, Becks,Watsons, Hoots, Pirites, Dick Gilman, and Leggats. Harry Figgie supposedly was in town, but we did not see him.

Rex Felton is still working in the insurance business, but he and Phyllis make plenty of time for golf and travel. Although he is not a racing fan regularly, Rex was looking forward to the Little Brown Jug race, toe crowning jewel of harness racing which Rex has attended for several years.

And finally, Moose Rowan and DonCole did return in late September from their freighter trip to Yugoslavia. A Moose card from Dubrovnick was followed 48 hours later with a phone call from North Carolina advising that, after a long train trip, they flew home from Luxembourg. The trip was great and they are still good friends.

Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy, and Peaceful New Year.
