Several months ago, ChrisBlaski acquired a kitten. I don't remember the name, and it's not important, so let's call it Fluffy. Fluffy was a good kitten—warm, kind of furry, a pleasant companion on a cold Thetford, Vt., evening.

Fluffy s tale, though, is a sad one. Imagine my surprise when, on a recent visit, I asked Chris as to the whereabouts of her cuddly feline. Chris walked me into the kitchen, opened the freezer door, pointed inside and-yes, there was Fluffy, hard as a rock. Seems ole Fluffy had contracted some rare, incurable kitten ailment and kicked off quite suddenly. Chris, caught up in the rigors of her internship at Mary Hitchcock Hospital, had no time at all for proper last rites. A month later, when I inquired, Chris admitted that fluffy was still there, wrapped in tin foil, frozen in time.

Which is why, needless to say, Chris Blaski has earned the honor of 1990/Quasi-10th Reunion Class Notes Mascot.

Several runners-up couldn't quite match Chris s stunning 1989 performance. These include B.G. Sykes, the one classmate to answer my plea for outside Mascot nominations. B.G. has quit the madding crowds or downtown Boston for Norwood, Mass., where he toils at the family law firm of Sykes & Sykes. He commutes from the Cape, where he says "there actually is nonbillable time" to spend with wife Leslie, owner of a sports marketing company.

time"to spend with wife Leslie, owner of a sports marketing company. B.G.'s first nominee was Paul Feinman a lawyer (right?) with Fralin, Freeman & Kinner in Lynchburg, Va. B.G. says Paul "has been a loafing alumnus for a couple of years and should be sufficiently rested." Sorry, B.G., not good enough. B.G. also suggested Jenny Toolin, formerly known to us all as the deposed evil secretary-dictator. A good try, and perhaps Jenny's time will come yet.

B.G. also asks, incidentally, if anyone knows where Sasha Steinway (last seen: Breckenridge, Colo.) has surfaced. I certainly don't.

Exceptionally honorable mention goes to Neill Silverman who, in one of the great understatements of recorded Class Notes history, writes, "I guess I have a few things to report." Neil was wed in June to Kay Larholt (late of London, Israel, and Boston, in that order), a biostatistician with Ortho Pharmaceuticals. It was an intimate country affair in Barnard, Vt., featuring cameo appearances by Al Ritterband and Jim Goldman and Warren Ljungren, both 'Bos. A scant three months later, Neill and Kay moved to New Jersey, where Neill formed his very own partnership with a Cornell Law classmate. So now they live in Basking" Ridge.

Cas Stimson wins honorable mention in the commercial real estate division. He's joined the Riverside (Calif.) office of Cold well Banker as an industrial sales and leasing specialist. This after a stint in San Gabriel and, before that, a few years consulting with Odessa Group, a management recruitment firm.

What could possibly be left, you ask. Besides my pithy monthly reminder about our upcoming reunion, not much. So here it is: Remember our reunion, coming June 15 to 17. Many more details next month.
