Card from the Dave Shumways tells of their annual trip to Canada, which brought on a lousy streak of weather. Dave says that they are staying in Ashville, N.C., until it gets boring. J. 1916 has been hard hit by the following members' being placed in rest homes: Jib Dingwall in Claremont, N.H., Russ Leavitt in Deland, Fla., Bill Nash in Amherst, Mass., and, in the Vet's Hospital in New Jersey, Phil Stackpole.
With sorrow we have to add to the list of those who have left us Frank G. Pettengill, who died September 17. Frank was with us at the 60th reunion. The Class sends its sympathy to his wife Jessie. His obituary will appear in this or a coming issue.
